OK, so you don't always have a great deal of time on your hands.  The UniTechnology Quick Check List has been created to give you an idea of the steps you must go through to get an online shop up and running. 

It is by no means a definitive guide.  We strongly advise you ready the information provided in subsequent sections of Tell me how, to fully understand the implications of trading online.

This 7 step check list presumes that you already have an internet connection.

Step 1. Think of a domain name for your website.

Step 2. Choose a UniTechnology Website or Trader package and purchase (domain registration and hosting included).

Step 3. For online payments, get in touch with a Payment Service Provider NOW! Lead times can be long.  For a quicker solution, use PayPal.

Step 4. Create your website content.  Keep text snappy, be legal, and have good quality images to promote your business and/or your products.

Step 5. Think about fulfillment.  How are you going to get items to your customers, how much will it cost?  Do you need any special packaging?  How do customers return products they're not happy with?

Step 6. Test your website and check you comply to best practice and e-commerce laws.

Step 7. Go Live!
